How it works

  1. Tell us your budget

Your city, your dates, how much you want to spend, and your passport. That's it.

  2. Discover your options

We show you the destinations you can afford, or three flight + hotel packages for the destination you pick, with the visa requirement for each.

  3. Book with our partners

When you find your trip, we send you to Aviasales or Klook to book at the current price.

Who we are

Bogotá, Colombia

I'm Damian, and TripBudget started with a personal story. My mom has always dreamed of visiting Japan. When we tried to plan that trip, we found out how complicated it is: does she need a visa with her passport? What do flights and hotels really cost? Can we afford it?

That frustration is very common: trip planning usually starts backwards. You pick a destination first and only find out at the end whether you can afford it, or even get in. That's why I built TripBudget in Bogotá, Colombia: to start with what really matters, your budget and your passport.

And we're honest about it: when a price is real we say so, and when it's an estimate, we say that too.

Frequently asked questions

Does TripBudget cost anything?

No. Searching, comparing, and creating price alerts are free. We're funded by affiliate commissions: if you book through our links to partners like Aviasales or Klook, they pay us a commission at no extra cost to you.

Can I book directly on TripBudget?

No. TripBudget compares and estimates, but doesn't sell flights or hotels. When you choose an option, we send you to the partner's site to book there, with their price and terms.

Is it safe to book on the sites we send you to?

TripBudget doesn't charge you or store payment details: we'll never ask for your card. Aviasales is a flight comparison site, like Skyscanner or Kayak: it shows prices from airlines and agencies, and you buy on the site of the one you choose. Klook is a booking platform for hotels and activities: you book and pay on their site. Before paying, check who's selling, the final price, and the change and refund terms.

Are the prices real?

Flights in “Where can I go?” are real reference prices from recent searches on Aviasales, and they may have changed. Anything that's an estimate (hotels, for example) is marked with “~” and an “Estimated price” label. Always confirm the final price before booking.

Where does the visa information come from?

From Passport Index data (as of January 2025) for 199 countries. It's for guidance only: rules change, so always check the official immigration website or embassy before you travel.

What if I have more than one passport?

You can add up to three. For each destination we show the one that gives you the best result, for example if one needs a visa and the other doesn't.

Do I need an account?

Not to search. You only need an account to save price alerts: we check them every day and email you if the price drops below your target.

Which currencies can I search in?

US dollars, euros, Colombian, Mexican, Argentine and Chilean pesos, soles, pounds, reais, and Canadian dollars.

Ready to find out where you can go?

It takes less than a minute, and no card is needed.
